Step 1 — Unbox your printer
Carefully remove the printer from the box. Keep the manual and all cables aside. Watch for foam, tapes, and shipping bolts.
Step 2 — Remove protective material
Remove tapes, plastic films and any shipping bolts from outside and inside the printer.
Step 3 — Connect power & turn on
Plug the power cable into the printer and to a grounded outlet. Press the power button and wait for the printer to initialize.
Step 4 — Install ink or toner
Open the ink/toner access door and install cartridges according to color and slot markings.
Step 5 — Select Language & Time Zone
On the printer screen, choose your desired language and your current time zone.
Step 6 — Load paper
Adjust the paper guides and load plain paper into the tray. Don't overfill the tray.
